The Circle Music proudly presents:

EverEve - “Seasons”, “Stormbirds” & “Regret”

The first three masterpieces of Germany’s EverEve, (Their name is taken from a poem out of “Lord of the Rings”) “Seasons (1997), “Stormbirds (1998), and “Regret (1999), are deeply emotional works of art, forged in darkness, melancholy, and poetic introspection, standing today as some of the most compelling statements ever produced within the Gothic Metal movement.

In the late 1990s, while countless bands attempted to define the boundaries of Gothic Metal, EverEve effortlessly rose above convention. Their music was never confined by genre limitations. It drew equally from Doom Metal’s oppressive weight, Gothic Rock’s romantic desolation, and the emotional grandeur of Dark Wave, creating a soundscape that was uniquely their own.

Seasons” marked the beginning of this remarkable journey. A debut album rich in atmosphere and emotional depth, it introduced a band already possessing a mature artistic identity. Its songs unfold like chapters from a forgotten gothic novel, where every melody is wrapped in shadows and every lyric resonates with profound emotional sincerity.

EverEve expanded their vision with “Stormbirds, an album that many regard as one of the defining moments of European Gothic Metal. Majestic, dramatic, and emotionally overwhelming, it elevated the band’s songwriting to extraordinary heights. The interplay between crushing guitars, haunting keyboards, and deeply evocative vocal arrangements created a listening experience that remains as captivating today as it was upon its release.

Then came “Regret, perhaps the most emotionally devastating chapter in the band’s early legacy. A shadow hangs quietly over the passage from “Stormbirds to “Regret. Shortly before, EverEve were struck by the tragic loss of their vocalist and lyricist, Tom Sedotschenko, whose presence had defined the emotional core of their first two works. Although his voice is not heard on “Regret, his absence seems to echo through it like an invisible wound. The album stands as a powerful continuation of the band’s artistic vision: darker and heavier. A work filled with haunting beauty, where despair and hope coexist in fragile balance, offering listeners an experience that feels timeless and deeply human.

For decades, these landmark recordings have been cherished by devoted fans while remaining absent from the vinyl format they so richly deserve. Their cinematic atmosphere, lush arrangements, and emotional weight seem almost destined for the warmth and depth of analog sound.

The Circle Music is proud to finally bring “Seasons, “Stormbirds, and “Regret to vinyl for the very first time. These albums remain monuments to an era when darkness was poetic, emotion was fearless, and music aspired to become art.

Nearly three decades after their creation, the songs of EverEve continue to echo through the shadows, as powerful, moving, and unforgettable as ever. Now, at last, they return in the format they were always meant to inhabit.

The vinyl reissues were produced under the supervision and guidance of bandleader Michael Zeissl, who shares the following words:

Dear E-Maniacs, I still remember my very first vinyl record... It was Iron Maiden’s maxi-single 2 Minutes to Midnight. It was one of those special moments that ultimately led me to discover and fall in love with metal music. All of my musical heroes released their work on vinyl, so it fills me with great pride to finally see EverEve’s music receive the same treatment.

Even when CDs took over and later streaming became the dominant format, I never parted with my vinyl collection. I have always loved that unique combination of warmth and power that only a record can deliver.

The first three EverEve albums are very special to me. It was an incredible and very intense period of our lives, marked by our first European and U.S. tours, performances at major festivals, and countless unforgettable experiences. These records capture a time filled with extraordinary moments, both joyful and tragic, that shaped the band’s early journey and legacy.

I am delighted that Seasons, Stormbirds, and Regret can now be experienced on vinyl for the first time. To make these editions even more valuable, the original recordings were carefully remastered for vinyl and offer a unique and enhanced listening experience. The releases also feature previously unpublished photographs, a new layout and all the lyrics, which makes them quite special for both, longtime fans as well as new listeners.

On behalf oft he band, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Maria & The Circle Music for making these releases possible and for helping to keep our music alive in all of our hearts.
